GURUDWARA SHRI BABA BANDA SINGH JI BAHADUR SAHIB is situated in the Chapar Chiri Village of SAS NAGAR(Mohali) Distt. When SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI sent BABA BANDA SINGH JI BAHADUR to attack the Sirhind, He started uniting Sikhs near Banoor.

Preparation of attack on Sirhind - BABA BANDA SINGH BAHADUR

Singhs who were getting together at KIRATPUR SAHIB. The news of their getting together & their plan to move towards Sirhind, made Wazir Khan have sleepless nights. He made his best efforts not to let both the Singh teams meet. Sher Muhammed Khan of Malerkotla was sent to stop the Singhs from KIRATPUR SAHIB to move forward. Nawab had his brother Khijaar Khan, 2 nephews & Wali Muhammed along with him. Apart from the Malerkotias, he had Rangadhs from Ropar & some troops from Sirhind along with him. On the other side, the Sikh count was very less in comparison. They didn't even had guns for all. Both the armies had a battle near Ropar. The battle went on for whole day. The Singhs fought very bravely but by the evening it felt as if Sher Muhammed Khan would win. At night, one more team of Singhs came. The next morning, Shah Khijjar Khan attacked. He kept on moving forward. Both the armies came so near that they started to fight hand in hand. Singhs made good use of swords. Khijjar Khan asked the Singhs to throw their weapons away but at that point only, a bullet struck his chest which laid him sleep to death forever. On seeing Khijjar fall, the Pathans started running. Sher Muhammed Khan himself came ahead along with his nephews who wanted to pick up the dead body of their father but the Singhs made their way to heaven too. Sher Muhammed Khan aslo got injured. The Mughal army ran away instantly. This way the battle was in Singhs hands. The Singhs thought not to waste any time & started to move towards the north in order to meet BABA BANDA SINGH JI's team. On the other hand, BABA BANDA SINGH was coming towards them. At that time, BABA JI had won over Banur. Here only he got the news of the KIRATPUR Singhs win. He started to move forward to welcome them. On the road leading from Ambala to Ropar, in the midway of Kharar & Banur, both the teams of the Singhs met. The Singhs celebrated a lot. Krah Parshaad was served in abundance. Now Singhs started moving towards GURU MAARI Sirhind. The horrible incidence of younger SAHIBJADA's martyrdom once again came in front of them. Their hearts were filled with a feeling of revenge. Wajir Khan got terrified on seeing the prperation of the Singhs. He got a inner feeling that even the Royal army would not be able to save Sirhind. He sent 1000 men along with the wicked Sucha Nand's nephew & asked him to join the Singhs & if possible he should kill BANDA SINGH. When the battle starts, he should join back to the Royal army. This way the Sikhs would be disappointed.

Wajir Khan's Preparation:- Wajir Khan made all endeavors to prepare for the battle. He called all his friends & Kings he knew. They raised slogans of Jehaad following which the armies going far & near & crowds of Gazis gathered near Wajir Khan. He collected huge amount of lead & gun powder. Cannons & Elephants were also brought. Like this, with a army of approximately 20,000 & some Gazis, Wajir Khan started to move in order to stop the Singhs. On the other hand, Singh count was less in comparison. They also didn't had any cannons or weapons with them. The horses were also less. But they had inevitable faith in WAHEGURU. The Martyrdom of the young Sahibjada's was creating a desire in them for a religious battle. BABA BANDA SINGH JI ordered Sardar Baaj Singh , Sardar Fateh Singh etc. to catch hold of Wajir Khan whichever way possible & the Muslims who give in & the Hindus who captulate, they should be spared rest whoever shows antipathy should be offered to sword.

On 12th May 1710, both the armies battled on the grounds of Chappar Chirhi. On 13 Jeth 1767 Bikrami, the military command of the Singhs was in the custody of Bhai Fateh Singh, Baaj Singh, Dharam Singh, Aali Singh & Shaam Singh. In order to keep an eye on the army's movement & to order them, BANDA SINGH sat on a hillock. There was a powerful attack from both sides. The crackling sound from the cannons made the skies shiver. The bandits & robberers who had joined the Singhs with a motive of robbery, ran away once the battle started. Sucha Nand's nephew, along with his 1000 companions, left the association of the Singhs. It felt as if the Muslims would be a strong side. BABA JI himself took the custody of the military command. He tamed the fugitives & attacked the elephants. The elephants ran backwards along with the Mughal Leaders. In this stampede, Sher Muhammed Khan & Khwaja Ali Malerkotia died. Wajir Khan challenged Baaj Singh. Baaj Singh bounced towards Wajir Khan, snached his spear & hit it on his horse's head. On the other hand Bhai Fateh Singh hit Wajir Khan's armour with such bravery & force that the sword went piercing from his shoulders to his waist & Wajir Khan died as a result of his Sins. Following his death, the Mughal army ran away. On 17th May 1710 the victorious Singhs captured Sirhind.

Gurudwara Shri Baoli Sahib, Zirakpur

GURUDWARA SHRI BAULI SAHIB is situated in the Dhakoli Village, Zirakpur in Mohali Distt. After winning battle of Bhagani (Paonta Sahib) SHRI GURU GOBIND SINGH JI came here. GURU SAHIB was on the way to Shri Anandpur Sahib, Stoping at Rani ka raipur(Raipur Rani), GURU SAHIB reached on outskirts of vill dhakoli. As this village was laid down by BHAI GURDITA JI, elder son of GURU HARGOBIND SAHIB JI, there were lots of sikh followers in the village.
On heraing the news of GURU SAHIBS arrival Chaudary Ishar Das resident of village allong with other followers reached to take GURU SAHIBS blessing. GURU SAHIB asked for welfare of village and area. Chaudary Ishar das with folded hands asked that there was no water in village and people have to go to Sukhna river to fetch water for their livelyhood. GURU SAHIB was holding Barchaa in his hand. Hearing this problem GURU SAHIB Started searching in the area and at particular place inserted his barcha in the soil and immidiately sweet and clean water started flowing from earth. Looking at this every one was very happy and bowed before GURU SAHIB. GURU SAHIB gave money from his own to Chaudary to construct the place permanently and also told him that this place will be known ans BAOLI SAHIB.
One another sikh followers Bhai Kirpa ram with his wife visited GURU SAHIB and bowed his head and asked for blessing. Although GURU SAHIB knew everything, but still asked the kirpa ram, he was not feeling comfortable to speak up his problem publicly in front of all. "I have just came to take your blessing " Bhai Kirpa Ram said. But his wife deesan requested GURU SAHIB in low voice that she was suffering from athrai and was not able to bear the child my child dies either after 8 days or 8 months of birth and asked GURU SAHIB to bless with child. GURU SAHIB asked couple to have bath in baoli sahib early in the morning on ikadashi day next to amavas After following the instructions they got relief from disease and were blessed with son.
On the next day to ikadashi diwan kirtan of SHRI ASA DI WAR was performed. After Ardaas and karaah parshaad distribution GURU SAHIB left for next destination GURUDWARA SHRI NADHA SAHIB situated in Panchkula.

GURUDWARA SHRI NABHA SAHIB is situated on the zirakpur patiala main road in SAS Nagar Distt. When GURU TEG BAHADUR JI was beheaded in chandani chowk, no one dared to pick GURU SAHIBS SACRED HEAD and his body. But with wish of akal purakh, swear storm swept through the city. Under the cover of dark blanket Bhai Jaita ji managed to escape with GURU SAHIBS SACRED HEAD and Bhai Lakhi Shah creamated GURU SAHIBS Body by setting his house on fire, as public funeral would have been dangreous. When Bhai jaita ji reached here. There was deep forest here in those days. Finding a place to take rest Bhai sahib saw a kutia which belonged to muslim Dargahi Shah Fakir. He asked Bhai Sahib his reason for coming to this place. Bhai sahib told Fakir about the whole story which had happened in delhi and he was going to SHRI ANANDPUR SAHIB.

          Fakir asked Bhai Sahib to have rest and he placed GURU SAHIBS SACRED HEAD on a stage. Whole night fakir sate in front of it. Bhai Sahib got refreshed and rested for night. In morning Bhai Sahib got ready and started his journey to SHRI ANANDPUR SAHIB. Before leaving Fakir asked Bhai Sahib that he had wish to see GURU GOBIND SINGH JI, But he being to old of age 240 yrs cannot walk, so if GURU SAHIB can fulfill his sewaks wish. On reaching SHRI ANANDPUR SAHIB, GURU GOBIND SINGH JI blessed Bhai Jaita ji "Rangreta Guru Ka Beta". Bhai Sahib also conveyed the Fakir's Message to GURU SAHIB and also told the favour done by him. GURU SAHIB asked Bhai Sahib to remind him when ever they cross near to that place.

          Later When GURU GOBIND SINGH JI was coming Back after winning the Battle of Bhangani they stoped at Place where GURUDWARA SHRI BAOLI SAHIB is situated in Village Dhakoli, Zirakpur. Bhai Jaita ji reminded GURU SAHIB about the fakir. GURU SAHIB came to this place bare foot and met the fakir and asked his wish. Fakir asked GURU SAHIB to set him free. GURU SAHIB asked fakir to worship God for another 40 days and then he will be sachkhand wasi. GURU SAHIB also visited the place where GURU TEGH BAHADUR JI's SACRED HEAD was placed and bowed his head there. Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur Wrote a warning letter to Suba-e-Sarhind from here .

GURUDWARA SHRI AKALGARH SAHIB is situated in Village Gharuan Distt S A S Nagar,(Mohali). SHRI GURU TEGBAHADUR SAHIB JI came here from Anadpur Sahib. Bhai Imardhas Dhirmalye felt jealous of GURU SAHIB and didnt offered any place to sit at the Place where Shri Guru Harrai Sahib had visited. GURU SAHIB asked to take bath in the pond and everything will be good. GURU SAHIB further blessed that who so ever will take bath here and do five sukhmani sahib path he/she will be free from life cycle.

GURUDWARA SHRI AMB SAHIB is Situated in the Distt SAS Nagar Also known as Mohali. Seventh GURU, SHRI GURU HAR RAI SAHIB JI visited this place to fullfill the wish of his devotee. Bhai Kuram ji of village lambia, visited Amritsar Sahib to pay homage to SHRI GURU ARJAN DEV JI. GURU ARJAN DEV JI's darbar was going on everyone was paying gifts according to thier status and capabilities. Sangat from kabul Gifted amb(Mango) to Guru Sahib, Bhai Kuram Singh felt bad on his part that he being from the land of amb could have also served Guru ji with amb, In the evening the darbar was closed and every body was given prasaad of amb, Bhai Sahib didn't eat amb. In the morning Bhai Sahib Presented the same amb to GURU ARJAN DEV JI.

Guru Ji called upon Bhai Sahib and asked that this amb was given to him in prasaad, then why did he had given back to him. Bhai Sahib politely said its true that i got this amb(Mango) as prasaad but i being from the land of mangos felt right to present it to you. Then GURU SAHIB said that you can have this as prasaad, we have felt ur feelings and we will have amb in our seventh life span. Seventh GURU SHRI HARRAI SAHIB JI came to this place from kurukshetra in mid of december and asked Bhai Kuram ji for amb, Bhai Sahib politely said to GURU SAHIB that in this season there are no amb, so i am unable to present the amb, but you are almighty you can do and get done what ever you want. GURU SAHIB asked Bhai Sahib that trees are loaded with ambs. Bhai Sahib when looked up that the tree GURU SAHIB was standing under was full of ambs, Bhai sahib layed down on the feets of GURU HARRAI SAHIB JI and served everyone with amb in dec month.
