Gurudwara Shri Paka Gurusar Sahib, Handayaa

GURUDWARA SHRI PAKA GURUSAR SAHIB is situated in the Handayaa Village, Distt, Barnala. GURU TEG BAHADUR JI came to village Handiyaya and rested under a grove near a pond. At that time mysterious disease rampant was in the area. GURU SAHIB advised him to take baath in the pond. He told GURU SAHIB that the Tanners (Chamars) used to dip their hides in that pond and hesitated to do so. GURU SAHIB asked him to ignore and then himself bathed in the pond. Thereafter Villagers brought a patient and made them to bath in that pond. The patient felt relieved and cured. Later all the sick villagers took bath in the pond and got cured. The villagers served GURU SAHIB gratefully with devotion. Now a sarovar has been built at the place of pond.
